Flag Family at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Guests at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have an opportunity to participate in a unique experience. One guest family is selected to raise the American Flag each morning. A second guest family is selected to lower the American Flag each evening.
Upon checking into the resort, families that wish to participate, should mention the Flag Family Experience and ask if you can sign up. If you are the selected family, you will be told when and where to meet the guide.
Your family will then be escorted to the roof of the Wilderness Lodge. You will be treated to a fabulous view of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom during the program that lasts approximately 10 minutes. Following the ceremony, the cast member will take your photo and give you a frame to hold your memory.
One of the things I like most about a vacation at Disney, are these small little opportunities that make lasting memories for your family. It is often these little moments that last a lifetime.
